Finally! Johan's first birthday party was over. It was undeniably tiring but all the sleepless nights and labor are all worth it. I will be posting my supplier's rating soon. But for the meantime, here are pictures of the special day.

Happy First Birthday!

Today marks my little boy's first birthday. But we will be celebrating in on Saturday so today we will just go somewhere to enjoy his special day.

I'm thankful for his first year. God has been very good to him. He has been a healthy and a happy baby. Although he got sick two weeks ago, he was not confined in a hospital and the Lord healed him.

He's been a joy to me and to his dad. And everyday, I'm thankful that I am there to witness his every milestones.

I pray that the Lord will continue to bless him with good health and that we will be able to provide all his needs; emotionally, spiritually and physically.

To my darling little baby boy....HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!

Taller

I know how it feels when you’re surrounded with taller girls and you feel so small and unnoticeable. When I was young I always wished my parents are taller because I feel embarrassed when my teacher would always put me in front during line ups and during class picture takings I’m always on the side because I’m small. Good thing now, there is hope for kids who are not blessed with 6 footer parents, LOL! There are vitamins for kids that can be a good hgh supplement to ensure that they will grow taller. Five Kilos More

I feel sad that I need to buy new slacks and pants because I don’t fit anymore with what’s in my closet. I noticed that I looked like a kid wearing oversize pants when I wear them. I’m not taking weight loss vitamin but I noticed that I kept on losing weight, *sniff*..I thought, it’s funny how hard it is for some people to lose weight while me, I wish to gain more. Hehe! I really wanted to gain more weight, and my goal is to at least gain 5 kilos within this year.

A friend wants to start going to the gym because he feels he’s not in good shape since he stopped doing any kind of exercises since he got married. Don't Just Drink It

L-Carnitine is one of the ingredients of some weight loss drinks but I think it’s not enough to drink those without doing any exercises. It’s ok to drink them but you also need to engage on routines that will help you to be fit. As I’ve mentioned so many times, I don’t have a problem in losing weight because it’s easy for me to get rid of excess fats, so I always remind my friends who have this problem to not believe everything that a product claims. specially those that promise quick solutions. They need to do their research, and ask opinions from specialists.

What's The Secret?

My daughter saw the commercial of a hotdog claiming that it can help kids grow taller because it has added margarine which is known since I was a kid to enhance growth. She told me she want to eat that so she will grow taller. I only looked at her with a smile.

When I was a kid we love our rice mixed with that margarine and we call it “star rice”. I think I have eaten tons of “star rice” since I was a kid but unfortunately I still end up with only a flat 5 height, LOL! I So I told my daughter it’s only an advertisement and not all that advertisements say are true. There are now hgh supplements which can really help kids grow taller. Now I know that the secret on becoming taller is not on the margarine, LOL!

One of The Best Place for Moms Like Me

My feet are itching to go to Dapitan Arcade. It started when I saw the need for a serving tray for the Candy Corner that I will prepare and what I want is a two layer tray with wrought iron. I went to a furniture and home décor thrift shop last week but I didn’t find the tray that I want, instead I saw a lot of medicine cabinets. I know that I can only find that tray at Dapitan because one my friends told me she bought hers at the arcade. A friend told me to just borrow her tray (which I will) but I thought I also need to buy one if I want to pursue one of the “sidelines” I’m cooking up. I’m excited to visit Dapitan Arcade one of these days.

Last Leg

I’m still here, doing my last leg of birthday preparation. And with just one week left, I feel like I still have a lot to do…I can’t help but feel rushed and stressed, being a hands-on and OC mom hehe. I go out every day and meet with suppliers then at night I work on my other tasks and sleep late. So it’s not unlikely that I saw one pimple on my forehead today, LOL! Good thing it’s only one so I still don’t need the best acne treatment yet. You know this birthday preparation made me so busy. I really look forward till it’s over, LOL!

MY DIY Balloon Decoration Practice

I mentioned here before that I will be making DIY balloon decoration for my son's birthday. So I started shopping for balloons and practicing so I will get used to it. I found out that it's not that hard pala. I was able to make a simple pillar and a mother balloon with small balloons inside using just my hand pump and a few pieces of balloon. I had fun doing this samples I just hope that I will also had fun during the day it self. I only have my sister to help so I'm really praying that we can pull it off.

It Helps to Be Curious

Last week, my son was sick so I brought him to his pedia. I was so worried because the little boy has fever for four days, he loses weight, and he looked weak and wanted to just sleep all day. Two Weeks to Go

Today is really a very tiring day for me. I want to rest early and my bed is inviting me to do so but I still need to meet some deadlines. Sigh…

I went traveling all day around the metro to do some errands. The heat and the pollutions add to the stress of commuting. It’s during times like this that I wish I already have a car so that going around can be easy. Or maybe an RV so that traveling is so convenient you will not even feel that you left your house. But then again, having that kind of vehicle requires getting a 5th wheel insurance as well. Hayz…it’s two weeks before the little boy’s birthday so I’m beginning to feel the pressure already…

Divisoria

With my three trips to Divisoria I still can’t help but be amazed with this place. You can get almost anything that you need here at very low prizes. From designer upholstery fabric down to the cheapest kind of textile, they have it here. So this place is what people usually visit even if getting there and getting your way around is quite a challenge. As for me, I will never tire going here as long as I have the money. Because you cannot resist to buy those cute stuffs you’ll see as you go around.

Almost Done

After several visits to Divisoria (three times to be exact), I can now say that I'm almost done with my birthday preparation. Whew!

I'm happy that I've accomplished a lot since the first day of February. First, I was able to close the deal and signed the contract with my caterer, we also had food tasting on that same day. I was able to visit the venue to coordinate with the care taker. I was able to buy balloons (yes I'm going to DIY my balloon decor), prizes, loots and loot bags, and candies (for the DIY Candy Station). I was able to go to shopper's ville to get an estimate with their birthday cakes but was shocked at their prizes so I opted to get it to my caterer as well. I was able to print and distribute invitations. And, I was able to print all printed materials that will be needed during the day. All these were done in just 1 week!

Now I just need to get the banner (tarp) printed and the standees that I'm also going to DIY. I also need to visit chocolate lovers to buy more choco goodies. And the rest of the work will be on the day before the big day. I'm excited !

Moving Again?

We’re thinking of moving to another house again. Without the husband with us, I feel that I cannot stand the repairs anymore in the house were we currently stays. The water leaks, the unwanted smell in our bathroom, the kitchen sink problem, the dried leaves in our water spout and roof, all gets to my nerve and I'm beginning to get annoyed already. So last week, I scouted for a good house, luckily, I saw one. It’s a semi furnished house, complete with barstool ha. Located in a good environment only that it’s far from what I wanted to live. It’s monthly rental is also higher so we’re still thinking if we will get this. Hay, if only we already have our own house, this won’t be one of the problems I’m dealing with now.

My Not So Little Girl

I was amused that my little girl seems to talk not like my little girl anymore. She makes sense and sometimes, I laugh at how at her age she expresses her opinion so well. She always has something to say on what she sees on TV. She saw a program featuring prom dresses that would be great to wear during proms this month and she blurted that the dresses are nice and she wanted to wear one someday, and I quote her. “Kapag dalaga na ako, mommy susuot din ako niyan.” (when I turned into a lady, I will wear one like that.) This made me think that I really made the right decision to stay at home, so that I could have more time for them and savor the moments that she’s still a child.

Busy

I will be having a very busy day tomorrow....of course still for the little boy's birthday preps. Preparing for his first birthday is really tiring but I'm enjoying it. Anyway, here's a glimpse of what kind of party it's going to be...
